Journey Outreach

A big part of our identity here at Journey is community. We believe it is our responsibility to give aid to those in need. Scripture even says that we are to care for the widows, elderly, and orphans. We do this by partnering with a number of different local organizations to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

We partner with Texas Ramp Build to bless a neighbor with the gift of accessibility! Our team meets at Journey and builds a ramp for those in need and it's something we love doing. Our teams consist of all ages and skill levels, our biggest requirement is a love of helping others!

We partner with local churches and the City of Schertz to do yard work and minor home repairs for people in need around the community. Giving back is one of the simplest ways to demonstrate the Love of Christ to those in need.

We partner with Communities in Schools of South Central Texas to supply weekend meals to SCUCISD families in need. During this season, we are collecting food donations and grocery store gift cards which can be dropped off at our church building’s north entrance in the large basket outside Monday through Thursday from 9am to 4pm. The schools' CIS Coordinators will come and pick up the food from us each Thursday morning and deliver to the local families in the program for the weekends.
