Week 6 Theme - "Go Where You're Leading"
Focus: "Being the hands and feet of Jesus"
In this final week of the 40 days of prayer, we encourage the body to not only go deeper in prayer, but also be obedient in fasting/abstaining. Jesus was given to us as the bread of life and by fasting we are allowing our body and spirit to be fed by His presence. In that seeking, we're asking God to lead us where we should go both in local and global outreach. We also seek discernment and His vision of where we should serve (poor, widows, orphans, homeless.)
Each day as you spend time with the Lord, we encourage you to read over the daily scripture and ask for God's wisdom and clarity for His plans.
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
Galatians 5:13
Lord, open our eyes to the needs around us. Let our prayers draw us closer to Your heart so that we may move in compassion toward the poor, the widows, the orphans, and the homeless. Teach us to serve not out of obligation, but out of love—reflecting the humility and sacrifice of Jesus. May our prayers bring healing, our words bring encouragement, and our actions testify to the power of Your love.
Thank You for the privilege of serving. Give us willing hearts, Lord, ready to go where You lead us—whether in our neighborhoods, workplaces, churches, or beyond. Let us not grow weary in doing good, but instead, may we be filled with joy as we pour into others, knowing that in serving them, we are serving You.
Use us, Lord, to be a light in our communities. May our love and service point others to You, so that Your name is glorified in all we do.
