Philippians 2:3-4
Week 5 Theme - "See What He Sees"
Focus: "Strengthening our focus on heavenly things"
This week we're asking God to strengthen our church no matter the circumstance, that he would give us a strength of faith, humility in all circumstances, and a spirit of perseverance. We know that if God is for us, who can be against us, and so we pray with that same spirit of victory. We ask that our spiritual gifts would be revealed so we can better serve the church.
Each day as you spend time with the Lord, we encourage you to read over the daily scripture and ask for God's wisdom and clarity for His plans.
3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
Philippians 2:3-4
Heavenly Father,
You call us to serve with humility, considering others above ourselves and looking not only to our own interests but to the needs of those around us. Lord, shape our hearts to reflect the humility of Christ, that we may serve with selflessness, love, and a true desire to glorify You. Thank You for the opportunities to be Your hands and feet, for the gifts You have given us to build up Your church, and for the joy that comes from placing others before ourselves.
You are worthy of all our praise, and we trust in Your perfect plan. May our hearts remain fixed on heavenly things, rejoicing in Your goodness always.
